This means that the client places special trust, confidence, and reliance on and is influenced by the professional. At times there a humanly possible lapses in judgment that may lead to a professional issuing misleading advice or advice that may cause the client to experience loss or damage. Professional Indemnity protects the professional against claims for loss or damage made by clients or third parties as a result of the impact of negligent services provided or advice offered. These claims can be brought forward even where the services provided or advice offered were free of charge.
